One-Piece Industrial Flame Retardant Coveralls

October 20, 2026

For welders, refinery and chemical plant workers, the biggest safety challenge is combined hazards: open flame, welding spatter, radiant heat and static electricity. Standard workwear can only handle one risk, but our one-piece industrial flame retardant coveralls are engineered for multi-risk working environments. Made from 220gsm twill flame retardant fabric (98% cotton + 2% antistatic fibre), this boiler suit holds three key European PPE certifications, delivering full-body continuous protection without gaps between separate tops and trousers.

FR Fabric Profile: 98% Cotton + 2% Antistatic Fibre, 220gsm FR Twill

The coverall uses a cotton-rich twill weave with embedded antistatic fibre.

-98% cotton base: Cotton brings natural breathability and comfortable wear for long shifts. The durable flame retardant treatment gives self-extinguishing performance, no melt-dripping when exposed to flame or welding sparks.
2% antistatic fibre: Conductive fibre is woven evenly into the twill fabric, dissipating static charge and preventing spark discharge in flammable or explosive atmospheres.
220 gsm weight: Medium-weight twill balances durability and wearability. It is sturdy enough to resist minor abrasion, yet not overly heavy for year-round indoor and outdoor industrial use.

Full Certification Breakdown

EN ISO 11612:2015 (Heat & Flame Protection, A1, A2, B1, C1, F1)

This standard verifies protection against heat and flame.

- A1 + A2: Limited flame spread for both surface and edge ignition. Once the flame source is removed, the fabric stops burning quickly.
- B1: Protection against convective heat (hot gas / flame exposure)
- C1: Protection against radiant heat
- F1: Protection against contact heat
This set of performance codes means the garment can handle flash fire, hot surfaces and radiant heat risks commonly seen in manufacturing, furnace and chemical sites.

EN ISO 11611:2015 – Welding Protection | Class 1, A1 + A2

Class 1 is designed for low-to-moderate welding operations, protecting against welding sparks, spatter and related radiant heat. A1 and A2 ratings confirm flame spread resistance for both surface and fabric edges, critical for welders exposed to flying molten metal dropletsBSI Knowle....

EN 1149-5:2018 – Electrostatic Protective Properties

The antistatic component meets EN 1149-5:2018, for use in properly earthed systems. It controls electrostatic discharge, eliminating static sparks that could ignite flammable vapours in petrochemical, oil & gas and solvent-handling workshops.

Why Choose One-Piece FR Coveralls in This Fabric?

1. Integrated full-body coverage: No waist opening. Bending, climbing and crouching will not expose skin to sparks or heat.
2. Combined hazard defence: Flame retardant + welding spatter resistance + static dissipation in one garment. Ideal where fire and explosion risks coexist.
3. Comfort of cotton: Unlike heavy synthetic FR fabrics, the 98% cotton twill reduces heat stress during long working hours.
4. European compliant PPE: Fully tested and certified, easy to satisfy site safety audit and procurement requirements for EU and global projects.

Typical Application Scenarios

- General welding and metal fabrication (low/medium spatter)
- Oil & gas on-site maintenance
- Petrochemical and chemical processing plants
- Paint workshops, solvent handling areas
- Power plant thermal maintenance

Care & Inspection Guidance

- Wash separately from ordinary clothes; avoid bleach, strong oxidising detergents and fabric softeners, which degrade FR performance.
- Conduct routine visual checks before use: look for tears, abrasion or thinning fabric.
- Even with durable FR treatment, repeated laundering will gradually reduce protection. Retire the garment if damage is found.
- The antistatic function relies on full grounding of the wearer on site.

This one-piece flame retardant coverall with 220gsm 98% cotton /2% antistatic twill is a cost-effective, certified multi-hazard PPE solution. With EN ISO 11612, EN ISO 11611 and EN 1149-5 certification, it combines flame, welding-spatter and static protection in a comfortable cotton-rich one-piece design. It keeps workers safe from overlapping thermal and electrostatic hazards while meeting international safety compliance standards.
